Follow the conservation treatment of the fascinating Syriac grammar manuscript dating from the 18th century and preserved in the Bibliothèque Orientale of Saint Joseph University in Beirut. The work was recently carried out at Beit Gazo, Centre de recherche et de conservation du Patrimoine des Eglises d’Orient, in Harissa, Lebanon. Although the Syriac manuscript 59, an 18th-century grammar, is a work of study, it is nonetheless fascinating for its codicology and decoration. It was decorated with unusual illustrations and stunning illuminations.
